Cookie Policy
Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy covers cookies, local storage and similar tools on this fan project, including Google Fonts and ad technologies that may appear when the site is promoted with Google Ads. It explains what may run in your browser while you read these pages and how you can limit that activity.
1. Who publishes this site
These pages are a fan-built informational project about GRID Legends. They are not a developer or publisher channel. Cookie or storage questions can go through the contact form, by telephone to +64 7 573 9661, or by email to [email protected].
Contact: 135 Thirteenth Avenue, Tauranga South, Tauranga 3112, New Zealand. This notice describes browser storage used while you read topic pages or send fan feedback. It does not describe a user account or a payment cookie. Listing these contacts does not turn the project into an official game website.
2. What cookies and similar technologies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website or a third party may store on your device. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels and software development tags that a browser runs when a page loads. Some of these tools are strictly necessary for a page to work. Others are used by font providers or, if present, by advertising networks to measure or improve ads.
Cookies can be first-party (set by pages on the domain you are visiting) or third-party (set by another domain, such as Google, when a font, tag, or advert is loaded). Session cookies usually expire when you close the browser. Persistent cookies remain until they expire or you delete them. Understanding that difference helps when you decide what to clear in your browser settings.
3. Technologies we use
Strictly necessary site behaviour
The website uses JavaScript and ordinary browser features to display pages, open the mobile menu, run sliders, filter gallery items, open the image lightbox, animate on-scroll elements, and validate the contact form. These features are required for the site to function as built. They do not create official support and they are not a login. Without them, parts of the layout or form checks may simply fail to work.
Local browser storage for the contact form
If a server-side form handler is not available, the contact form may save a copy of your message in local storage on your device. The stored copy can include name, email, topic, message and a time stamp. Local storage is not a cookie, but it is a similar technology. It is a fallback so a comment is not lost on a static copy of the site. It is not an account and it is not shared automatically with other devices. On a shared computer, clear site data after you send a message if you do not want the saved comment to remain.
Google Fonts
Pages load fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser requests those font files from Google's servers. Google may process your IP address and ordinary request data in order to deliver the font. Google describes this in its own privacy and terms documentation. Blocking third-party requests may change how type appears on the page, though the written content itself remains readable.
What we do not use as a default shopping or login system
The site does not set a shopping-cart cookie, a login cookie, or a payment cookie, because there is no shop and no account. There is no file-upload cookie. The sliders are not a personalization engine built from a reader profile. Nothing in this section invents a checkout flow that the pages do not provide.
4. Advertising and Google Ads
This fan site may be promoted using Google Ads or similar advertising services. If you arrive from an advertisement, or if advertising, conversion, or remarketing tags are placed on this website, Google and its partners may use cookies and advertising identifiers to:
- record that an advertisement was shown or clicked;
- measure whether a visit, a form view, or another on-site action followed that advertisement;
- limit how often you see an ad; and
- improve the relevance of ads, subject to your Google ad settings.
Google's explanation of advertising cookies is published at policies.google.com/technologies/ads. You can manage personalization at adssettings.google.com and, where available, at youronlinechoices.com. Those controls sit with Google and industry tools, not inside a separate account on this fan site.
Advertising on or about these pages is meant to promote this fan-built informational site. It is not used to process payments, to collect payment card data, or to imply that this site is official developer or publisher material. If additional advertising or analytics products are added later, this notice will be updated to name their purpose so readers can see what changed.
5. How you can control cookies
You can:
- delete cookies and site data in your browser settings;
- block third-party cookies, which may affect fonts, tags, or advertising measurement;
- use private or incognito browsing, which usually discards cookies when the window closes;
- clear local storage used by the contact form fallback; and
- adjust Google ad personalization using the links in section 4.
Blocking all site data may affect the menu, sliders, gallery filters, or form messages. A "Do Not Track" browser signal is not consistently honoured across the web; this site does not currently implement a separate DNT response beyond the controls above. Choose the mix of settings that fits how you browse, knowing that stricter blocks can reduce some page features.
Clearing cookies on your device does not delete a message that was already received by a server handler. To ask about a stored inquiry, use the contact form below and mark the note as a privacy or storage question.
6. Social links
Header icons that point to X, Facebook, Instagram, Skype, or LinkedIn are ordinary links. Clicking them leaves this website. Those services may set their own cookies. This notice does not treat those destinations as this fan site's advertising processors unless you click through and their own policies apply. Review each platform's settings if you care how those services track signed-in or returning visitors.
7. Changes
This Cookie Policy may be updated when tags, fonts, hosting, or advertising are added or removed. The "Last updated" date will change when that happens. The published page is the current notice. Continued browsing after an update means later visits are covered by the revised text.
8. Questions
Questions about cookies or local storage can be sent through the contact form, by telephone to +64 7 573 9661, or by email to [email protected]. Please say that the question is about cookies or storage. A storage question does not create official support, a purchase, or a relationship with the rights holders of GRID Legends.
