Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy covers personal details this fan project may receive, why they are used, how long they may be kept, who may see them, and how you can ask about them. It is written for readers of this unofficial GRID Legends fan site in plain language.
1. Who publishes this site
These pages are a fan-built informational project about GRID Legends. No rights holder operates them. They are not presented as an official game channel, studio help desk, or publisher portal.
Contact details used on this site are:
- Postal address: 135 Thirteenth Avenue, Tauranga South, Tauranga 3112, New Zealand
- Telephone: +64 7 573 9661
- Email: [email protected]
- Fan feedback: the contact form
This site does not list a registered company name or a VAT number. Listing an address, telephone number and email does not make this an official game website. Those contacts exist so readers can reach the people who maintain these fan pages.
If you write about privacy rather than a page or guide, please put the word "Privacy" in the topic field or in the first sentence of your message so the note can be spotted quickly. This policy describes the website as it operates. It is not legal advice and it does not replace advice from a qualified professional. GRID Legends and related names belong to their respective rights holders.
2. What this website is
This site publishes informational pages about GRID Legends, including game overview notes, cars, racing classes, race modes, tracks, career, race events, Driven to Glory, guides, gallery references, frequently asked questions, and a contact form for fan feedback. The pages do not sell the game, list prices, or offer downloads. They are meant as independent reading notes for fans, not as a storefront or installer.
There is no checkout, no shopping cart, no user account, no password login, and no file-upload field. Submitting the contact form does not create official support, a purchase, or a relationship with the rights holders. If Google Ads or similar advertising is used to promote this site, those ads are meant to send people to this fan project so they can read the same public pages you see here.
3. Information we collect
Information you give us
If you use the contact form, we may receive:
- your name;
- your email address;
- the topic you select; and
- the text of your message.
Please do not send payment card numbers, government identification numbers, passwords, or health information. Those details are not needed to comment on a fan guide. Keep messages focused on the page, guide, or privacy question you want to raise.
Information created by using the site
When pages load, your browser typically sends technical data that web servers and browsers use to display a site. That can include internet protocol (IP) address, browser type, device type, date and time of the request, the page requested, and a referring page. If a server-side form handler is active, it may also record a submission time and basic connection information needed to operate the form and to reduce obvious abuse.
If a server handler is not available, the form may store a copy of your message in local browser storage on the device you used. That copy can include the same fields you typed, plus a time stamp created by the script. Local storage stays on that device unless you clear it. Other people who use the same browser profile on a shared computer may be able to see it, so clearing site data after you finish is a sensible step on shared machines.
Information we do not collect through the form
The form does not collect date of birth, payment details, location coordinates, photographs from your device, or a marketing-opt-in checkbox. We do not create a reader account from a form submission. Optional fields that are not on the form are simply not collected through that channel.
4. How we use information
Personal information from the form may be used to:
- read and, where possible, reply to fan feedback about a page or guide;
- understand which topic you asked about so a reply can be relevant;
- operate, secure and repair the website, including preventing abuse of the form;
- comply with a legal request where required; and
- measure or improve advertising that promotes this website, if advertising or conversion tags are placed on the site as described below and in the Cookie Policy.
Form messages are not used to publish testimonials, to run credit checks, or to sell a mailing list. This site does not process payments. Replies, when sent, are meant only to address the fan-site question you raised.
5. Lawful use
Inquiry data is processed because you sent a message and those details are needed to understand and, if possible, respond to it. Technical data is processed because it is necessary to operate a public website and to keep basic services working for readers.
If you are in a region with additional privacy laws (for example the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or California), you may have extra rights such as access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection, and a right to complain to a supervisory authority. Those requests will be considered in good faith even where a particular statute does not strictly apply to a small fan website.
This policy does not invent a registered company, a VAT number, or a postal address beyond the New Zealand contacts already listed. It describes a fan-built website contacted through a form, telephone, email, or post.
6. Cookies, fonts and advertising
The website uses ordinary browser features to display pages, open the mobile menu, run sliders, filter gallery items, open image lightboxes, and validate the contact form. Details of cookies, local storage and similar technologies are set out in the Cookie Policy. That notice explains what you can clear or block in your browser without repeating every technical label here.
The pages load fonts from Google Fonts. When a font file is requested, Google may receive your IP address and ordinary request data. Google's handling of that data is described in Google's own privacy documentation. Blocking those requests may change how text looks, but the informational content of the pages remains available.
If this fan site is promoted with Google Ads or a similar advertising network, Google and that network may collect cookies, advertising identifiers, and technical data to show, measure, or improve ads, including ads that brought you to this site. Google explains this at Google's advertising technologies page. You can manage Google ad personalization at Google Ads Settings. If conversion or remarketing tags are added to this website, those tags may set or read cookies as described in the Cookie Policy. Advertising is not used to process payments or to present this site as official developer or publisher material.
7. Sharing and processors
Personal information is not sold. Inquiry lists are not rented. Information may be shared with:
- hosting, domain, or email providers who transmit or store a message so that the website and form handler can function;
- Google, if you load Google Fonts or if Google Ads, Google tags, or similar Google services are used on or in connection with this website;
- professional advisers or authorities if a legal disclosure is required; and
- a successor operator of the website if the publishing project is transferred, in which case this policy would continue to describe the same kinds of use unless a new policy is published.
Inquiry data is not shared with payment processors or unrelated advertisers as a sold mailing list. Social icons in the header are ordinary outbound links. If you click them, you leave this website and the destination's own privacy policy applies.
Personal information may be processed in more than one country where a hosting, email, font, or advertising provider stores data on servers in another location. Those providers apply their own security and legal terms. This fan project does not control those third-party facilities beyond choosing common tools needed to publish and promote the site.
8. Retention and security
Form messages kept on a server are retained only as long as needed to read the question, reply if a reply is appropriate, and keep a short record of correspondence. A fixed number of days is not published because the length of a conversation can vary. You can ask for deletion of an inquiry that is still held. Local browser copies can be cleared by you in your browser settings at any time and are not a substitute for a server-side privacy request.
Reasonable steps are taken to protect information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, including limiting who can read messages received through the form handler. No website or email system is completely secure. Do not send information through the form that you would not want transmitted over the internet. If you believe a message was sent by mistake, contact the site promptly using the channels below.
9. Your rights
You may ask this fan site to:
- confirm whether personal information about you is held;
- access that information;
- correct information that is wrong; and
- delete an inquiry that is still held, unless it must be kept for a legal reason.
Send those requests through the contact form and mark the message as a privacy request. Enough detail may be needed to find the inquiry (for example the email address you used and the approximate date). Because there is no user account, there is no in-site dashboard button for download or deletion. Requests will be handled as carefully as a small fan project reasonably can.
If you are in a region with a data protection authority, you may also have the right to complain to that authority. Using that right does not prevent you from writing to this site first if you prefer a direct reply.
10. Children
The website is written for a general audience interested in informational notes about GRID Legends. It is not directed at children under 16. Personal information from children is not knowingly collected for marketing. If a parent or guardian believes a child has sent personal information, use the contact form and it will be deleted where it is still held. Please include enough context to locate the message without adding unnecessary personal details about the child.
11. Third-party websites
This site may link to social platforms, Google policy pages, or other external sites. Those sites are not controlled by this fan project. Their privacy practices are their own. A link is not an endorsement and is not an official relationship with any other rights holder. Before sharing personal information on a linked site, check that site's own notices.
12. Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when the website, hosting, advertising, or legal requirements change. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change when that happens. The published version is the current version. Continued use of the site after an update means the updated policy applies to later use of the site. Material changes that affect how form messages are handled will be reflected in the text of this page rather than in a separate unpublished note.
13. How to contact this site
Privacy and general questions can be sent through the contact form, by telephone to +64 7 573 9661, by email to [email protected], or by post to 135 Thirteenth Avenue, Tauranga South, Tauranga 3112, New Zealand. Using these channels does not create official support, a purchase, or a relationship with the rights holders of GRID Legends.
